M10 x 1.25mm Fine Pitch Half Nuts - A2 Stainless Steel Half Nuts, also known as Jam Nuts or Lock Nuts, are thin nuts that are frequently used in applications where a high thread engagement is required. Half Nuts can be used to hold another Hexagon Nut into position or alternatively can be utilised when a standard Full Nut is too thick for application. The Fine Pitch on these Half Nuts allows for higher thread engagement resulting in a higher tensile and shear strength joint. The finer thread also allows for finer adjustments to be made to the fastening in cases where accuracy is fundamental. These Half Nuts are made from A2 Stainless Steel which provides corrosion and oxidation resistance.
